Ward 7 of Mahabharat Rural Municipality is known as Bankhu, a remote hilly settlement in Kavrepalanchok District characterized by steep terrain and limited road access, particularly challenging during monsoons.[7][8] The area relies on air rescues for medical emergencies, such as pregnancy complications, with patients referred from Bankhuchaur Health Post via Nepal Army helicopters.[7] It forms part of the former Banakhu Chor VDC region, predominantly inhabited by Tamang and Magar communities engaged in agriculture.[2][8]
