Ward No. 5 of Kirtipur Municipality is primarily known as Khasibazar, which serves as the main neighborhood or area name, similar to how other parts of Kathmandu Valley are identified by specific tole or settlement names.[2] It was formed in 2017 by merging former Wards No. 11 and 12, incorporating settlements like Panga Dhushi (from former Kirtipur-11) and Bhatkepati (from former Kirtipur-12).[1]
