Khasibazar and Samal are two of the settlements in Kirtipur Ward 3. The ward also includes named toles such as Kutusal, Sagal, Hitigal, Dhalpa and Chogal. Its present boundary brings together the former Paliphal village area.
Samal’s park, ponds and the ghat
The municipal profile identifies Samal Community Park and three ponds: Bhi Pukhu, Lawa Pukhu and Mabhi Pukhu. It also names Kirtipur Ghat, known as Dikhu Ghat, among the ward’s religious places.
These names help locate a particular part of Ward 3 beyond the broad Khasibazar label. The ghat is a ritual place, so take care around ceremonies and ask before photographing people.
