Uma Maheshwor and the hilltop view
The three-tiered temple is dedicated to Shiva and Parvati. Its setting provides a view across the Kathmandu Valley, while the temple precinct is a destination in its own right.
Kirtipur’s ward-restructuring table connects present Ward 2 with part of the former Layeku village area. Layeku also occurs in Ward 1, where Bagh Bhairav Temple stands, so use the temple name as well as the ward number when asking for directions.
