*Badikhel**
Ward No. 4 of Godawari Municipality is primarily known as Badikhel, a former Village Development Committee (VDC) now integrated into the municipality, with its ward office located on Badikhel Road.[1][2] Other neighborhoods or toles within or immediately adjacent to this ward include Godamchaur and Thaiba.[1][6]
This area features the Ward No. 4 Office, Kalidevi Temple, and Ganesha Temple as notable landmarks, situated in a suburban village setting south of central Kathmandu Valley in Lalitpur District.[1] Badikhel is characterized by its rural-residential character with agricultural fields (reflected in the Nepali suffix “-khel” meaning acre or field), and it had a 1991 census population of 2,711 households.[1][2] Thaiba, 3 km north, is known for its Newar community dominance.[1]
