*Chapagaun**
Ward No. 10 of Godawari Municipality is primarily known as Chapagaun, the main neighborhood and former Village Development Committee (VDC) area in the southern part of Kathmandu Valley, Lalitpur District.[1][2] Other neighborhoods or toles within this ward include settlements like Bulu and Pyangaun, part of the original ten settlements of Chapagaun VDC.[1]
Chapagaun is recognized for its historical Newar settlements, traditional villages, and religious sites such as the Vajra Varahi Temple Area and road shrines, reflecting its cultural heritage as a key sightseeing area in Godawari Municipality.[1][2] The ward features rural characteristics with village clusters (indicated by the Nepali suffix “Gaun” meaning village) and is part of the restructured Godawari Municipality established in 2014.[1]
