Godawari, Kitini and Taukhel are the main area references in Ward 3. The municipal profile names Kitini as the ward centre and Godawari and Taukhel as its trading centres.
The garden and the Godawari mela
The National Botanical Garden lists its location across Wards 2 and 3. Godawari is also the setting for the major religious mela that the municipality records on a twelve-year cycle. It should not be treated as an annual event or a confirmed date for a forthcoming visit.
Kitini, Taukhel and Lelinthok
The ward programme names Paudol’s Resham Tol, Kitini, Taukhel, Golden Tol and Lelinthok. It records Ganesh Temple at Kitini, Thakureshwor Mahadev at Lelinthok and Vishwanath Dham.
