Sangla is Tarakeshwor Ward 1, bringing together the former Sangla village area. The municipality’s heritage inventory identifies a historic pond in the old Sangla bazaar and a monastery at Chuni Sangla.
The bazaar, Jagat and Chuni Sangla
The ward programme names Seti Devi Temple at Jagat, Bhimeshwor Temple and Balkumari Temple. Chuni Chaur, Danda Gaun and Dhakal Chaur provide further local references beyond the older village name.
Sangla’s Balkumari Jatra, Navadurga dance and Ghode Jatra also appear in the cultural programme. Check locally for the current dates and procession arrangements if you want to attend.
