Raniban is a neighbourhood reference for Nagarjun Ward 1, documented in the municipality’s school-address directory. It is a useful starting point for the Nagarjun forest side of the city, separate from the Ichangu Narayan temple area.
Raniban and the Jamacho approach
The ward programme names Kedar Basti, Ekta Tol, Gumba Marg, Kalo Gate, Balami Tol and Sundar Nagar. It also includes entries for the Jamacho steps and the Shivapuri Nagarjun National Park ticket office. These references connect the ward with the forest approach; the national park extends beyond this ward boundary.
