Khokana is the historic settlement associated with Lalitpur Ward 21. Its mustard-oil tradition and arrangement of chowks and religious places are recognised in Nepal’s UNESCO Tentative List entry. Tentative listing is a proposal stage, not inscription on the World Heritage List.
The municipal programme names Rudrayani Temple, Sikali Temple, Gabu Ganesh Pati and Jitapur Gandhakuti Vihar. Sano Khokana and Samalcho provide smaller settlement references. The city’s cultural programme also records Sikali Rudrayani Jatra and De Pukhu Jatra.
