Ward No. 17 of Lalitpur Metropolitan City (formerly Lalitpur Sub-Metropolitan City) is primarily known as Lukhunsi, a historic neighborhood in Patan with diverse linguistic, ethnic, cultural, and community groups.[2][4] Other neighborhoods and toles within or bordering the ward include Bhangini Nani, Sundhara Chowk, Ilache, Kani Bahal, Sincha Hiti, Haktoal, and Tyagal.[1][4] This densely populated area (17,740 people per sq km as of 2011 census, total ~10,644 residents) features a mix of residential zones, historic sites, and proximity to landmarks like Dashrath Stadium (near southern border with Ward 15) and Karmnasa Khola river; it is characterized by its urban-historic fabric within Kathmandu Valley’s Patan region.[4]
