Boudha is the office area of Kathmandu Ward 6 and the setting for Boudhanath Stupa. The Nepal Tourism Board describes the stupa as a major centre of Himalayan Buddhism and the largest stupa in the Kathmandu Valley.

The city’s Ward 6 programme records Buddha Jayanti, Lhosar and Temal Jatra alongside other local observances. Its heritage schedules also name Rudreshwor Temple and a Shri Krishna Temple reference, reflecting religious places beyond the main stupa precinct.
