Dhunkhark is the administrative center of Bethanchowk Rural Municipality and serves as Ward No. 2.[2] Located in Kavrepalanchok District, Dhunkhark was formerly a separate VDC before being merged into the current rural municipality structure in 2017.[3] The area is part of the Mahabharat mountain range and is known for its natural herbs and biodiversity.[2]
