Bethanchowk is a six-ward rural municipality in Kavrepalanchok District. It brings together five former village areas: Chyamrangbesi, Dhunkharka, Chalal Ganeshsthan, Chyasing Kharka and Bhugdeu Mahankal. Dhunkharka is divided between two current wards.

Bethanchowk Narayan and Dhunkharka

The rural municipality takes its name from Bethanchowk Narayan Temple. The municipal introduction places the temple in former Dhunkharka Ward 1, now included in Bethanchowk Ward 3. That guide also covers the Vaishnav Park and Gairibhanjyang references.

Dhunkharka, Ward 2, covers former Dhunkharka Wards 6–9, with Geldung, Durlungkhola and Shiv Parvati Gufa references. Use the current ward number alongside Dhunkharka when checking an address.

Waterfall, monastery and village references

Chyamrangbesi, Ward 1, includes Tintale Waterfall and Chakreshwor in the municipal programme. Chalal Ganeshsthan, Ward 4, covers Parthali, Tipchok and the Riyo Palden Choiling Gumba reference.

Continue to Chyasing Kharka, Ward 5, for Golmakot, Chyalti and Bhangala, and Bhugdeu Mahankal, Ward 6, for Sirani, Tawari and Sipapani.

Using the local guides

The municipality’s 2083/84 policy describes further tourism and walking-route development. A planned cable car, park improvement or trail project is not treated here as an operating visitor service. Each ward guide links its named places to the available municipal records. Check local access conditions when planning a specific walk or drive, and use the map to compare the six ward boundaries.
