Khanikhola Rural Municipality takes its name from the Khanikhola river in the southern hills of Kavrepalanchok. Its seven wards include Taldhunga, the municipal centre, and the village areas of Dayagaun, Phalametar, Jure, Jagthali, Salmechakal, Deurali and Milche.

- Dayagaun, Ward 1 and Phalametar, Ward 2 share the former Phalametar area. Their guides distinguish Kothe and Hattidanda from Devitar and other Ward 2 references.
- Jure, Ward 3 and Jagthali, Ward 4 belong to the former Dandagaun area. Bhangtar Besi and Dhanmana Besi are Ward 3 references; the Ward 4 programme names Kalidevi Temple and Gheyabari Gumba.
- Salmechakal and Taldhunga, Ward 5: the municipal centre, agricultural market area, Dumre and Lanche.

Coffee, culture and reaching Taldhunga
Coffee production features in the municipal policy, including plans for processing support. The same policy identifies Dashain, Lhosar and Maghi as cultural traditions to support, and names Ped Dorje Park in Dandagaun. Dandagaun spans two current wards, so check a specific address before choosing a ward destination.
The policy identifies Khopasi–Taldhunga and Chyalti–Phalametar–Taldhunga as important access corridors and sets out road improvements. Those plans do not establish present road conditions or a public-transport schedule. Confirm the route and onward connection for the village you intend to visit.
