*Baneshwor**
Ward No. 10 of Kathmandu Metropolitan City is primarily known as Baneshwor, encompassing areas like Old Baneshwor, New Baneshwor (Thapagaun), Buddhanagar, and Bijulibazar.[1][2][4] Other neighborhoods or toles within the ward include Sano Gaucharan and Baneshwor Height.[1]
Baneshwor is one of Kathmandu’s most developed, politically significant, and urbanized areas in the central-eastern part of the city, serving as a major commercial and residential hub with wide roads, modern buildings, high-rise apartments, schools, hospitals, banks, shopping malls, and restaurants.[2] It houses key government offices, including the Federal Parliament of Nepal, making it a center for political activity, and acts as a vital transport corridor connecting to other city parts, though it faces challenges like traffic and pollution management.[2][4] Notable landmarks include polling centers such as S.V.
