Changu Narayan is Changunarayan Ward 4, covering the former Changu village area. Its temple precinct belongs to the Kathmandu Valley World Heritage property. UNESCO identifies the temple complex and traditional settlement as one of that property’s seven monument zones.
Beyond the main temple precinct
The ward programme names Chap Ganeshthan, Manakamana Temple and Musikhop’s water source. Ramailo Gaun, Swarnim Basti and Narayantar appear in other local entries. These places sit within the wider ward guide; World Heritage status should not be extended to the entire municipality.
