*Kolachen and Bansagopal**

Ward No. 3 of Bhaktapur Municipality, formed by merging former wards 13 (Kolachen) and 14 or 16 (Bansagopal), is primarily known as the Kolachen and Bansagopal area, encompassing the core Bhaktapur Durbar Square region.[1][2] Other neighborhoods or toles within this ward include the 99 ancient archeological chowks (squares), along with specific sites like Nhekan Jyo Durbar, Degmana Chowk, Thathucha Chowk, Khauma Chowk, and surrounding areas of Barahi Temple.[1][6]

This ward is renowned as a major tourist hub housing the UNESCO World Heritage Site Bhaktapur Durbar Square, featuring landmarks such as the Fifty-five Window Palace, Golden Gate, Nyatapola Temple (via Nritya Vatsala), Siddhi Vatsala Temple, and numerous temples including Kedarnath, Jagannath, and Taleju.[1] It covers 0.1165 sq km, hosts administrative offices like the District Administration Office and District Court, and has residents primarily engaged in wages, trade, employment, and farming amid dense historical and cultural heritage.[1][2]
