Kageshwori Manahora is a municipality in the eastern part of Kathmandu district, created by merging the former Kageshwori and Manahora village development committees. The municipality represents the rapidly developing urban periphery of Kathmandu.

The area has experienced significant growth in recent years, with agricultural lands being converted into residential and commercial properties. Despite this urbanization, Kageshwori Manahora retains pockets of traditional culture and hosts several important temples and cultural sites.

The municipality serves as an important transit zone, connecting Kathmandu with Bhaktapur district. It features a mix of traditional settlements and modern housing developments, reflecting the changing face of the Kathmandu Valley’s urban expansion.
