*Sudal**

Ward No. 8 of Changunarayan Municipality is primarily known as Sudal, the former Village Development Committee (VDC) that forms the core of this ward.[1][2] Other neighborhoods or toles within the ward include Thakalmath, along with settlements featuring sites like a Single Roof Temple, Ganesh Temple with Peepal Tree and Shrines, and the Complete Path.[2]

This hilly ward, covering 7.32 square kilometers with a population of 8,614 across 2,776 households, is characterized by agriculture, animal husbandry, and tourism, home to diverse communities including Janajati, Newar, Dalit, Chhetri, and Bahun.[1] It features a mountainous settlement pattern supporting farming and eco-tourism attractions near the UNESCO-listed Changu Narayan Temple area.[1][2][3]
